Comrade Agbenson Expresses Gratitude to Gov. Yahaya Bello for Journalism Award

Comrade Victorson Agbenson, Political Editor at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Abuja and winner of the Governor Yahaya Bello Essay Prize for Political and Crime correspondents has extended his gratitude to the Kogi State Governor for instituting the prestigious award which he described as a practical award.

A statement titled “THANK YOU GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO!”, issued by Comrade Agbenson on Sunday, 24th of September said he was still at the Transcorp Hilton Hall, Venue of the event when he got the alert of 2.5 m Gbagam!

“My heart is full of appreciation to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State for his uncommon love for Nigerian journalists for instituting this prestigious award, a practical one a that.

“The award was as practical as the money. I was still in the Transcorp Hilton Hall , Venue of the event when I got the alert of 2.5 m Gbagam! No be audio money!

“Indeed he has brought his youthful vibrance to bear in his stay on the saddle as Kogi Governor and the state is clearly better for it.

“The FRCN family and indeed the FCT Council of NUJ where I belong are grateful to the performing, impactful, Governor Yahaya Bello, the White Lion as he is fondly panegerised by his admirers. We remain indebted and when the times comes the Nigerian media will tell the nation who our true friends are.
