The Speaker Kaduna State House of Assembly/Chairman Northern Speakers Forum, Rt. Honourable Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani has said that the official defection of the Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara State from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a pointer towards the party’s victory in 2023.
Zailani expressed this in a statement signed by his SA Media and Publicity, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani, made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Tuesday.
“Our great party is already making huge gains ahead of the 2023 general elections with the defection of Zamfara State Governor, lawmakers and the collapsing of the entire PDP structure in the state,” he said.
Zailani congratulated Matawalle on the bold move, describing it as long expected.
He charged Zamfara people to rally round their Governor in taking the state to greater heights, since he has finally joined the progressives.
