The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Trade, Industry & Investment, Dr. Ebieri Jones, today, met with the Management and Staff of the Ministry to strategize on the mapped out processes the Ministry is expected to contribute to the success and achievement of the recently unveiled “7 Point Agenda” by His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri.
The Second Term Agenda of the Bayelsa State Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri which has the acronym, A.S.S.U.R.E.D, was hinged on seven pillars that would serve as beacon to ensure economic growth, social development, infrastructure advancement, environmental sustainability, cultural preservation and good governance.
While interacting with Management and Staff of the Ministry, Dr. Jones explained that the A.S.S.U.R.E.D Agenda entails Agricultural revolution, Sports development, Security, Urban renewal, Robust healthcare, Energy generation and Diversifying education, which is inline with the mantra of the Prosperity Administration.
Dr. Jones who charged staffers to work assiduously and timely in order to increase productivity and achieve set out goals, also directed that Departmental meetings should be held every Monday to fast track progress and ascertain achieved results for economic growth and revenue generation.
