VALENTINE OZIGBO COMMISERATES WITH THE CHIDOKAS AS THEY BID DEACONESS VICTORIA CHIDOKA FAREWELL

Valentine Ozigbo, a 2021 Anambra Governorship Candidate, joined family, friends and well-wishers on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, to pay last respects to Deaconness Victoria Nneka Chidoka, who recently passed on at 75.

The late Deaconess Chidoka was the mother of Chief Osita Chidoka, a former Minister of Aviation and Hon Obinna Chidoka, the legislator representing Idemili North and Idemili South Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives.

At the ceremony held in Obosi in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State, Mr Ozigbo, who met up with the Chidokas earlier and later represented by the leaders of his Valentine Chineto Ozigbo (VCO) political organisation, eulogised the late Deaconess Chidoka as a woman of virtue who touched many lives positively.

He described the deceased as a “fountain of love, compassion and knowledge, who has blessed Nigeria with illustrious offsprings who are leaving their mark in the sands of time.”

“Today’s ceremony is a reminder of our mortality and life’s fleeting nature. We have lost a gem, and while we cannot question God when things like this happen, we can take solace in the knowledge that Mama lived an impactful life and left a legacy worth emulating,” Ozigbo, a multiple award-winning global CEO, said.

Ozigbo, who is the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, prayed that God would grant her soul eternal rest and give the entire Chidoka family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Several notable political and business leaders, including Chief Obinna Ufudo, a former President of Transcorp and Director of NestOil, attended the funeral ceremony.

Members of the VCO political organisation who represented Mr. Ozigbo include Nze Afam Okpalauzuegbu, Barrister Cosmas Anyagbolu and his wife, Mr Chinedu Odozor, Mrs Wendy Atikpo, Mrs Chinyere Nwafornta, among others.
