THE countdown is now down to hours. Uvuru Autonomous Community is putting the finishing touches to the preparations for the coronation of His Royal Highness Eze Iheanacho Chinyereze Mbalewe as Ezeoha III of Uvuru. The 27 December event marks another epoch in Uvuru’s history.
“Everybody is talking about the coronation. Everybody is waiting for it. When last did we look forward to an event with such excitement?,” a community elder asked.
“His reign will mark a new beginning for Uvuru. We are praying for better days. Our prayer is that people would rally round him to support the Ezeoha III.”
Uvuru’s acceptance of the new Eze is overwhelming. He was unanimously selected as the Ezeoha III.
For over 22 years, he was a prominent member of the Ezeoha Uvuru Cabinet, holding the revered title of Nnanyereugo Obioha of Uvuru Ikedinairi.
The enthusiasm of 27 December is heightened by the proposed unveiling of the youth empowerment programme that is the fulcrum of stabilising the peace, security and future of Uvuru
“His vision of a prosperous Uvuru Autonomous Community that is peaceful, progressive, secure, inclusive, is what everyone is waiting for. We want to hear him say it again, make that promise before us at the coronation. Nobody has been as detailed and determinated to build the future of our community on the youth as he has,” a youth leader said.
HRH Eze Iheanacho Chinyereze Mbalewe received his staff of office from the Imo State Government earlier in the year.
