The strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has been extended for another 12 weeks.
Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, the President of ASUU, made the announcement earlier today, Monday, May 9, 2022. He explained that this was done to allow the administration adequate time to resolve all outstanding concerns that had led to the 12-week strike.
The roll-over strike began at 12:01 a.m. on May 8, 2021, according to ASUU’s statement.
