The Bayelsa State government has cancelled the statewide monthly environmental cleanup exercise esrlier scheduled for tomorrow,  Saturday,  30th July, 2022.

The information was contained in a Public Service Announcement madd available to the press andsigned by the Chief Press Secretary to the Bayelsa State Governor,  Mr. Danial Alabrah.

In the statement,  Alabrah said, “The Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency Senator Douye Diri, has directed the cancellation of the statewide environmental clean-up exercise earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 30, 2022”.

“This is to enable all eligible residents of the state that are yet to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) do so before the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) deadline expires on Sunday, July 31, 2022.

In conclusion,  the statenent said that, the governor urges all residents of the state to continue to keep their surroundings clean.
