The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has listed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Atiku Abubakar; All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Bola Tinubu, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and others as presidential candidates for next year’s poll.

This is according to a circular released by the electoral body on Tuesday. The INEC circular also included the candidates’ state of origin, age, and other details.

Fifteen other presidential candidates were also on the list, along with their running mates as well as their qualifications.

Equally released by the electoral umpire was the final list of recognised candidates for the 2023 National Assembly election.

It was a case of a last-minute victory for fomrmer Minister of the Niger Delta, Senator Godswill Akpabio, as his name appeared as candidate of APC for Akwa Ibom North/West senatorial district.
