The African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja seeking the disqualification of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from contesting the 2027 presidential election.

Atiku, who appeared at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday, is challenging Tinubu’s eligibility over an alleged forged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate reportedly submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the 2023 and 2027 electoral processes.

The former vice president alleged that the NYSC certificate submitted to INEC bears the name “Tinubu Bola Adekunle,” which he contends differs from the President’s name, “Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

Atiku is asking the court to disqualify Tinubu from participating in the 2027 presidential election on the grounds of the alleged discrepancy and forgery.
