…As police intercepts a list containing the beneficiaries of the money
A member of the House of Representatives and campaigner of Atiku Abubakar, Dr. Chinyere Igwe, has been arrested with $500,000 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
This happened in the early hours of Friday, February 24th 2023.
Igwe, represents Port Harcourt Federal Constituency 2, and was nabbed during a stop and search operation along Aba Road.
The police also intercepted a list containing the beneficiaries of the money, for distribution in the 23 local government areas of the State as well as security agencies and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Spokesperson of Rivers Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the arrest, saying: “A statement on it will be released soon”.
