Breaking: Edo Govt Budgets N2Billion for Benin Royal Museum

The government of Edo State has budgeted the sum of Two Billion Naira for the construction of Benin Royal Museum in the 2023 appropration proposals.

This is part of the details contained in the budget document presented to State House of Assembly for consideration, today, November 16, 2022.

“We have completed our Masterplan to promote Tourism and will be prioritizing the development of the cultural district.

“To this end, we have made a provision of Two Billion Naira to support the construction of the Benin Royal Museum and One Billion for the Cultural District.”

Governor Godwin Obaseki told members of the Assembly while presenting the 2023 budget earlier today.
