Frontline Nollywood Veteran Madu C Chikwendu today in Aba ,Abia State announced his latest initiative to support his home state Abia .
” Sir Madu C Chikwendu is delighted to present *Abia 17X2* ; an initiative to reposition the movie industry in God’s Own State and beyond by integrating Training Production, Distribution , Finance and Film Festival being the pentapod for the orderly development of a film industry ”
“*Abia 17 X 2*” will train men and women from the 17 local governments and produce , distribute the films across the state and beyond.
The initiative will not only create employment but will also stimulate economic activity across the film ecosystem and value chain.It will reinvent the golden years when Pound Road Aba stood side by side with Upper Iweka Onitsha and Idumota Lagos as the distribution tripod of Nollywood.
The movies will be showcased at the proposed Enyimba International Film and Cultural Festival .The best three will play on the global festival circuit .
” I have deployed my international exposure and expertise having executed similar projects at various levels around the world ” Sir Madu stated recently.
Partnerships are being developed with key stakeholders within and outside the country .
