The CCA Tigers emerged the champions of the Moonson Cup, 2022 organized by the Millennium Sports Club Association Abuja, in collaboration with the Cricket Club Abuja (CCA) and the India Cultural Association (ICA) on Sunday, 10th of July, 2022 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, CCA Cricket Oval in Abuja.
The final game of the tournament was between the CCA Tigers and the Millennium Kings with both sides looking good to pull a surprise. The CCA Tigers won the toss and opted to bat first. At the end of the 20 overs, the Tigers batted 180 Runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Top batters for the CCA Tigers were, Adnan Akbar who batted 62 runs off 49 balls, Pankaj Kumar 45 runs off 20 balls and Shantanu Raychaudhuri who batted 27 runs off 16 balls.
In the second innings, the Millennium Kings came in to chase 180 runs and needed 181 runs in 20 overs to win the final match. However, the fielding and bowling performance of the Cricket Club Abuja Tigers would not allow that to happen as the Kings were stopped at 130 runs all out in 19.5 overs. Thus, the CCA Tigers won the game by 50 runs to clinch the Trophy with many team members also going home with some of the prizes on display. Also, the organizers, the Millennium Sports Club Association, Abuja gave out Gold and Silver Medals to the first and second teams of the tournament.
Top batters for the Millennium Kings are as follows, Sameer with 23 runs of 15 balls, Durgesh Rohira scored 23 runs off 23 balls and Abhishek Patel with 10 runs off 13 balls.
The player of the final match was Adnan Akbar of the CCA Tigers.

The Millennium Monsoon Cup is expected to be a regular annual tournament in the FCT to add the various tournaments in the diary of the FCT Cricket community. The Cricket Club Abuja, the pioneer Cricket organization in Abuja is expected to hold another of its regular yearly tournament, annual Dinner and AGM sometime in between third week of September/Second week of October.
