…City Centre Ward Declaration!
Earlier today, Coalition of FCT PDP Support Groups were at City Centre Ward for sensitization/mobilization of support groups towards the forth coming INEC Voter’s Card registration and Area Councils elections in the FCT come 2022.
In his welcome address, Comrade Tasiu Abubakar, City Centre Ward Coordinator and the leader of Kwankwasiya Movement, expressed his happiness to have leaders of the Coalition in the Ward. Stakeholders and leaders of various support groups under City Centre were recognized and appreciated for attending the crucial meeting.
Abraham David came on to recognize the presence of Coalition State Executives led by the Chairman, Hon. Abduljalal Idris (Aljazeera), Hon. Dorathy Katuka (Deputy Chairman), Hajiya Fatima Tahir (Women Leader), Amb. Obiageli Okeke (Financial Secretary), Hon. Mary Makama (Bwari Area Council Coordinator and SA Women Affairs to the Chairman, Bwari Area Council), Comrade Abraham Kuti (Kuje Area Council Coordinator) and other Ward Coordinators. Abraham further explained the need for sensitization and mobilization of Support Groups because they are the citadel, mobilizers, canvassers, foot soldiers, diehard, praise singers, etc, of PDP as a political party. Hence the necessity to inform and enlighten all Support Group leaders in each ward for the forthcoming voter’s card registration and 2022 Area Councils elections.
Stakeholders who encouraged Support Groups to stand for the progress of PDP in all elections by mobilizing their members to obtain voter’s card come June 28th, 2021, include: Hon. Austin Oche (AMAC PDP Publicity Secretary), Amadun PDP, representative of the Ward Chairman, Hon. Anthony Gwoza, Hon. Deji (DG, Tony Onoja Campaign organization), etc. The stakeholders expressed confidence in the ability and capacity of Support Groups in ensuring PDP comes out victorious in 2022 Area Councils elections.
Hon. Tony Onoja ( Incoming City Centre Councillor) thanked the leadership of the Coalition for being proactive and sensitive towards the 2022 Area Councils elections. Hon. Onoja assured the Support Groups under City Centre that he’s going to be a Councillor of integrity and with his people always at heart. He further admonished the Support Group leaders to make sure PDP is delivered at all levels.

Hon. Abduljalal Idris (Aljazeera) Coalition Chairman, came onboard to encourage Support Group leaders to believe in PDP. Aljazeera said; all hands must be on deck to deliver the mandates of Hon. Onoja and Christopher Zakka because that’s the most reliable way out of APC inflicted hardship. He further said all strategies adopted for mobilizing persons above the age 18 to register in FCT and obtain their PVC shall be fully implemented for unconditional success.
The support groups leaders under the City Centre Ward unanimously declared full support for the following resolutions:
1. To compose and develop campaign songs and jingles for Hon. Tony Onoja and Hon. Christopher Zakka (Maikalangu);
2. To mobilize not less than 2,000 people to register as fresh voters to obtain voter’s card under the ward.
3. To deliver the Councillorship and Chairmanship candidates in the 2022 Area Council elections, God willing.
4. To mobilize persons who are registered voters but do not vote during the Area Council elections to come out and vote for PDP.
The sensitization/mobilization continues across the FCT.
