COAS COMMISSIONS QUICK IMPACT PROJECTS IN KADUNA COMMUNITY

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya has today 22 October 2022 commissioned Special Intervention Projects at Doka District, Kaduna.

The COAS who was represented by the Commander Infantry Corps (CIC) , Maj Gen VO Ezugwu while giving his remarks appreciated the Commander Armoured Corps Maj Gen S idris for executing the project of 6 Solar Powered Boreholes at Maiburuji,Gaji,Shaba and Liman wards , donation of Chairs and Desks for Shehu Abdullahi Primary School as well as renovation of Examination Hall equipped with Chairs and Desks at Nurul Islam Academy, all located at Doka District of Kaduna, Kaduna State. He stated further that the projects being commissioned reinforced the Civil-Military Cooperation drive of the Nigerian Army geared towards bridging the communication gap between the good people of Kuduna State and the Nigerian Army.

Earlier in his remarks, the CIC stated that the Nigerian Army over the years has taken deliberate steps towards ensuring that it gives back to the society the cooperation it enjoys from the community as this is much in line with the COAS vision of ” A professional Nigerian Army Ready to Accomplish Assigned Missions with a Joint Environment in Defence of Nigeria”.

The project Executor and Commander Armoured Corps, Maj Gen S ldris in his welcome address appreciated the Chief of Army Staff for sponsoring the project in other to give back to the community and considering that education is the main basis under which community develop.

He further appreciated the people of Doka Community for their support while the project was been carried and urged them to make good use of the facilities that have been provided for them by the Chief of Army staff.

The projects which are parts of COAS CIMIC Special Intervention Projects was designed for Principal Staff Officers and Generals in the Nigerian Army to ensure that they are connected to their various communities in order to win the hearts and minds in support of Nigerian Army’s Operation.
