Elections: CDS holds emergency meeting with service chiefs, IGP, security chiefs, others in Abuja

Ahead of Saturday’s general elections, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Lucky Irabor, is set to hold an emergency meeting with service chiefs and heads of the various security agencies in Abuja.

The meeting scheduled for 3pm, today, will hold at the Defence Headquarters(DHQ), in Abuja. The emergency meeting is expected to have the Chief Of Army Staff(COAS), Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, Chief of Naval Staff(CNS), Vice Admiral Auwal Gambo, Chief of Air Staff(CAS), Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, and the Inspector General of Police(IGP), Usman Baba in attendance.

Others expected to attend the emergency meeting are the Director General of Department of State Services(DSS), Director General National Intelligence Agency, Chief of Defence Inteligence(CDI), among other security chiefs.

Daily Sun, gathered that the meeting is would among others deliberate on security and arrangement put in place for the forthcoming elections and other security concerns.
