The former federal commissioner for information had claimed in a widely circulated interview published by Premium Times on June 14th that the former governor of Delta State funds to finance his 2023 political campaign.

A press release by the Ex-Youth Leaders of the Frontiers of Delta Ethnic Nationalities signed by Akpobe Okiemute Davies of Urhobo Ethnic Nationality, Edesimi Jorome – Ijaw Ethnic Nationality, Odhe Oghenekome – Isoko Ethnic Nationality –  Oritse Jolomi Edema – Itsekiri Ethnic Nationality and Ossai Chukwuemaka freeborn of Anioma Ethnic Nationality asked Chief Edwin Clark to stop selling Delta issue out as a way of getting relevance because he is a father to all and leader of the state council of elders.

Arising from an urgent meeting of the Group held yesterday in Warri, the spokeperson of the group, Comrade Davies Okiemute Akpobe said “Chief Edwin Clark should stop selling Delta issue out as a way of getting relevance, as a father and leader of the state council of elders, taking your children’s issues to the media and prevailing on EFCC to come and intervene is bad, disgraceful most especially when you lack the moral justification to embark on this Wild Goose Chase.

“As Deltans have grown beyond that point. knowing fully well that you, Chief Edwin Clark, have benefited a lot from Delta State and other government agencies.

“We are therefore calling on our elder statesman (Chief Clark)to bring his wealth of experience to bear on further development of our dear state.
