Gunmen have killed a resident of Ushafa Community in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The Network gathered that the man was killed when bandits invaded his residence in the early hours of Friday.
The bandits abducted for members of family after killing the man.
The incident happened around the Tundun Fulani extension area of the Bwari Council Area on Friday, The Network learnt.
Reports quoted a resident of the area as saying that the abductors broke into the family’s residence and grabbed the victims away.
One other person who escaped from being whisked away was shot at by the gunmen, the resident said.
“There was a kidnap incident in Tundun Fulani extension in Bwari around 1:30 am.
“The kidnappers were many and fully armed.
“The kidnappers broke into a house and kidnapped four members of the same family.
“They also shot one person who escaped being kidnapped”, the source said.
The spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the abduction of the four family members.
“We responded swiftly. We are on top of the situation”, she said.
