He is an experienced interior designer providing high quality commercial projects to clients.
His first training was a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Calabar in 1995. Thereafter, he studied Interior Design with further training at Rodec Institute UK and KLC School of Design, Chelsea Harbour, United Kingdom.
He is the Creative Director for Opoto Design Limited, specialising in Retail and Hospitality Design. He has been involved in numerous projects across almost all the geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
Opoto Design Limited, is a firm that has focused on Retail and Hospitality Design for over 15 years. Being a mostly self-taught Designer, with a stint with Rodec International UK and various CPD courses at KLC school of design, Chelsea Harbour UK, Achi, as fondly called by his business associates and close friends was the past Secretary General and Chairman Education Committee of the Interior Designers Association of Nigeria (IDAN), Abuja Chapter at diferent times respectively.
He acquired Digital Publishing Experience after graduating in 1995. He has worked as consultant in setting up Non-Governmental Organisations and attracted foreign funding for Community Empowerment Programs and has created Partnerships with Government Parastatals on Youth Engagement in Tourism.
He is an avid Bird Watcher and enjoys Hiking and Bird Photography.
It wasn’t always Opoto for Achi, there was Insignia Ltd, EquipAllaince Ltd., before the mutation to Opoto Designs about 15 years ago.
All these transitional stages had their various legacy works.
Achi as he is called by many and for shot is a self driven man in quest of excellence in his area of passionate interest, Interior Designs that incoporates themes from various traditions but mostly exploits African traditional themes and symbols in his designs in line with the global emergence of Ethnic Influences as a new culture.
His clientele includes many high networth individuals and top of the notch Hotels, Lounges, Bars, Restaurants, Libraries, Stadiums and outdoor Designs for commercial Outlets and Private Homes.
