In his words, Saraki said,” As we move forward, it is clear that we have a lot of work ahead of us. This is why, I assured the leadership of the North Central Peoples’ Forum that I will continue to support any efforts to develop our region”. He further stated that, a fundamental issue in Nigeria’s unity has to do with management of our resources, whether mineral or agricultural.

The six geo-political formations of Nigeria have become veritable blocs to propose a new structure for Nigeria, given the many problems experienced with managing the current federal structure of Nigeria. This anomalies in managing our federation has witnessed many forms of nepotism in the spread of the federal appointments and allocations. Many political commentators have advocated a return to the post-independence regional structure to help get Nigeria back on track.

Today, we can see heightened activities of the North-East, North-West, North-Central, South-West, South-South and South-East.
Crossfire Reports hopes that a return to this structure would help the different regions compete more favorably within the federation of Nigeria.
