The six geo-political formations of Nigeria have become veritable blocs to propose a new structure for Nigeria, given the many problems experienced with managing the current federal structure of Nigeria. This anomalies in managing our federation has witnessed many forms of nepotism in the spread of the federal appointments and allocations. Many political commentators have advocated a return to the post-independence regional structure to help get Nigeria back on track.

Today, we can see heightened activities of the North-East, North-West, North-Central, South-West, South-South and South-East.
Crossfire Reports hopes that a return to this structure would help the different regions compete more favorably within the federation of Nigeria.
