THE OBA PALACE AND THE BENIN MONARCH HAVE NO DIRECT HAND IN THIS RUBBISH.
To those who are not patient enough to watch.. I have extracted the part where the thugs were told off by the palace reps and in Edo Language told to allow Don Pedro to go.. They almost fought off the thugs.
My own conclusion is simple…
1. Those numbskulls who humiliated Don Pedro must be arrested and prosecuted to serve as a deterrent in case other fresh fools will replicate what the APC thugs did.
2. Those who love to hate Benin Royalty because of PERCEIVED partisanship and always dive (to conclusions) to fulfill their confirmation bias should desist from such dumb intellectualism.
3. Our cultural societies in Africa are full of such overzealous nitwits parading themselves as culture police.
The Oba does not directly attend to such matters until the organogram of the palace officials have exhausted their authority.
I am sure the Benin Traditional Council will issue a statement on the matter today.
