The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami has said that the Federal Government will obey the order of the Supreme Court which temporarily suspended the deadline for the circulation of the old Naira notes.

Malami who made the disclosure during an interview on Arise Television on Thursday evening expressed the hope that the exparte order would be vacated on February 15 when the matter comes up for hearing.

However, he argued that CBN which was not joined in the suit, makes it clear that the Supreme Court lacks jurisdiction to decide on the matter in the first instance.

Malami, said that the FG decided to obey the order in line with the policy of the administration to adhere to the rule of law.
