First lady of Edo State, Mrs Betsy Obaseki, on the 13th of November, 2023 commissioned multi millon Naira projects donated by Prince Collins Eselemo, the Scion of the Eselemo Dynasty to the Edo State Government on behalf of the New Era College Old Students Association on the occasion of the 50th year anniversary of the secondary school.
New Era College was established in 1973 by the then governor of Old Bendel State, the late elder statesman, Brigadier General, Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia.
The project comprises of a perimeter fencing and a gate amonst others.
At a time, New Era College paraded ex internationals in the likes of Humphrey Edobor, Bright Omokaro, lucky Imafidon, Ndubisi Okosieme ,Loveday Omoruyi, Collins Eselemo and a host of others.
It was a great reunion of old students of the school with many dignitories who supported the occasion with their presence.
