Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 762 personnel to ensure a hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration in Yobe State.

Spokesman for the Corps, Bala Garba, an Assistant Superintendent of Corps (ASC), disclosed, yesterday, in Damaturu, that security would be provided at all praying grounds in the 17 local councils of the state.

Other areas that security will be beefed up during the Sallah celebration, he disclosed, include recreation centres and other public places.

Garba said this was to prevent any criminal activity during and after the Eid-el-Fitr festivities across the state.

He, therefore, urged the people to give prompt and credible information about suspicious movements of persons or groups to security agencies.

The ASC reiterated the command’s commitment to work with other security agencies and wished Muslims a peaceful celebration.
