OBASANJO’S EX-AIDE, OSUNTOKUN REPLACES OKUPE AS OBI’S CAMPAIGN DG

Former Political Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Mr. Akin Osuntokun, has been appointed as the new Director General of Peter Obi Presidential Campaign.

This was disclosed by the Labour Party’s National Chairman, Julious Abure, in Abuja, on Tuesday.

According to him, the decision was reached after wide consultations with party stakeholders across board.

Osuntokun, a Nigerian political scientist, strategist, researcher, administrator, journalist and writer, with experience in media advocacy, who was the Zonal Coordinator (South) replaces Dr. Doyin Okupe.

He was a former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria, and was a Political Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

He was also Director of the Presidential Campaign Council of the People’s Democratic Party in 2011.
