The Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (“SALIC”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Public Investment Fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is to invest US$1.24 billion for an estimated 35.4% stake in Olam Agri

This means an Implied 100% equity valuation of US$3.5 billion of Olam Agri will be subject to closing adjustments.

In-line with its Re-organization, this transformative deal will illuminate and unlock value in Olam Agri and will crystalize a benchmark valuation ahead of a potential future IPO and demerger.

It is expected that, proceeds from the transaction would go towards right-sizing Olam Group’s capital structure and reducing its leverage, while capitalizing on partnership synergies to support growth.

Olam Group Limited will remain majority shareholder of Olam Agri with an estimated 64.6% interest.
