Oludare Aimola Emerges Winner In North Central NCF Zonal Election

Mr Oludare Aimola has emerged the winner of the Nigeria Cricket Federation North Central Zonal Board Election just concluded in Jos, Plateau State today.

The States that make up the North Central in the NCF election structure are FCT, Kogi, Nasarawa, Niger, Benue, Plateau and Kwara states. The other zones are expected to produce there winners to complete the 6 Zonal elected members of the NCF Board.

Oludare Aimola is a Quantity Surveyor and Builder based in Abuja. He is also the Chairman of Kogi State  Cricket Association. He is of Kogi State origin.

Mr. Aimola contested against his long time rival, Engr. Emeka Onyema. Both were past Presidents of the Cricket Club Abuja, a sporting social club with bias for cricket develppment and activities. Emeka was also the President of NCF from 2013 to 2017 when he lost the zonal election to Oludare Aimola.

The Cricket Club Abuja was formed in 2006 and it gives opportunity to Cricket lovers in the FCT to engage in weekly cricket games and long term cricket development in the FCT and environs.

Earlier both Emeka and Dare had made commitments to abiding by the result of a free and fair election. It is believed that in the spirit of good sportsmanship, both will keep their promise.

Crossfire wishes Mr. Oludare Aimola a successful 2nd tenure on the board of the Nigeria Cricket Federation as well as more progress in the development of Cricket in Nigeria.
