Valentine Ozigbo, the flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2021 Anambra gubernatorial election, on Sunday, August 29, 2021, held an interactive session with Reliable Voters Forum (RVF), a powerful grassroots support group with thousands of members in all the local government areas in Anambra State.
The event, tagged “RVF Day with Valentine Ozigbo, our governorship candidate”, allowed members of RVF to interact with Mr Ozigbo and strategise ahead of the November 6, 2021 election.
In his opening address, the Founder/General Coordinator of RVF, Hon Chinedu Odozor, thanked Mr Ozigbo for partnering with the group.
Hon Odozor also announced that the group is poised to embark on a massive voter recruitment campaign to increase Mr Ozigbo’s chances in the general election.
“I use this medium to congratulate our leader, Valentine Ozigbo, on his victory at the PDP primary election and thank him for sparing time to interact with RVF,” Odozor said.
“RVF’s mission is to harness, galvanise, and sensitise reliable voters to interact and ensure the enthronement of God-fearing and humble persons to actualise a people-oriented government, geared towards bringing back the PDP to governance in Anambra State.
“The emergence of Mr Ozigbo as the PDP guber candidate is a fulfilment of phase one of our operation for the 2021 Anambra governorship.
“Our commitment to ensuring that Mr Ozigbo becomes governor is unwavering. We have commenced phase two, tagged “Operation Show Your Voters Card”, to make sure that Ndi Anambra registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to vote.
“We have embarked on a tour or the 30 constituencies in the state and have recruited members in all the wards and local government areas on 21 local government areas in the state
“We thank His Excellency, Mr Ozigbo, for accepting RVF as a useful vehicle in the Ka Anambra Chawapu project. We promise to increase our efforts to ensure the triumphant accomplishment of our RVF vision to bring back PDP to the governance of Anambra State,” Hon Odozor added.
On his part, Mr. Ozigbo expressed gratitude to members of RVF for their support, encouraging them to penetrate the grassroots with their “Operation Show Your Voters Card” campaign.
“I thank the RVF for the staunch support I have received from you since the beginning of this fruitful partnership,” Ozigbo stated.
“We have a few weeks to the election, and I urge you to hit the ground running to spread our message of hope to Ndi Anambra, from door to door, in our wards, local governments and everywhere we find ourselves. We want a landslide victory in November and the responsibility rests on your shoulders.
“We are going to set a new standard for governance in Anambra State. We are blessed with abundant human and capital resources to become a reference point for development in Africa, and you will walk with me every step of the way,” Ozigbo remarked.
Mrs Ojiugo Ozigbo, the wife of Mr. Valentine Ozigbo was among those who accompanied him to the event who include Mr Obinna Ufudo, the Director of Finance for the Anambra PDP Governorship Campaign Council; Hon Barr Valentine Ayika, the Director of Strategy for the Anambra PDP Governorship Campaign Council; Chief Tony Offiah, the Deputy Director of Finance for the Anambra PDP Governorship Campaign Council; and several members of his campaign team.
