The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Farouk Yahaya has stated that the Quick Impact Projects the Nigerian Army has been executing and commissioning in recent times are meant to connect the human side of the Nigerian Army. The COAS stated this yesterday, 18th May, 2023 while commissioning a maternity center at Araromi, Iragbiji in Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State.

The Chief of Army Staff represented by the General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army Ibadan Maj Gen Mohammed Usman stated the idea of Quick Impact Projects is to give back to the communities where the NA is operating from.

The COAS urged for more support to enable the NA to win the battle against insecurity ravaging the country. Lt Gen Yahaya opined that projects like maternity/health centre will serve the collective needs of the community where they are built as well as enhance mother and child health care.

Earlier in his address, the project executor Maj Gen Ayobami Ibikunle thanked the Chief of Army Staff for his support in completing and equipping the maternity center. He appreciated the meek kindness of the COAS in supporting him in achieving the project for his community.

Maj Gen Ibikunle admonished his community to make good use of the project and ensure it is well maintained. He informed the gathering that the Centre is well equipped with modern facilities that can compete favorably with such facilities elsewhere.
