The former Bayelsa State Governor and serving senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson, on Tuesday, 4th of January 2022, received a young Bayelsan author, Justice Ebiks Lokpobiri, when he visited the Senator to present his first book, titled ‘Insights for Success: Exploring The Power of Inspired Words’, to him.
The Ekeremor born author, Justice Ebiks Lokpobiri, revealed to our reporter that, he approached his Excellency, the former Governor of Bayelsa State, Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson on account of his newly published book titled, Insights For Success and His Excellency granted him a warm reception in his Toru-Orua apartment on Sunday the 2nd of January 2022 to present copies of my first book to him. Senator Dickson was in Toru-Orua to spend his Christmas Holidays and also interact with his Constituents.
Lokpobiri said realizing he is the first writer produced by the University of Africa, Toru-Orua, a University Senator Dickson established as the then Governor, his face beamed with excitement as he joyfully asked what Lokpobiri wanted him to do for me, and h replied: “I want to become a model to improve the reading and writing culture of people, especially Bayelsa youths, thereby improving our moral culture, while also helping curb crime and social vices, as we engage in productive activities, by utilizing our skill set and knowledge”.
“His Excellency was pleased with my words and appreciated my intentions. He quickly promised to support me in achieving my dreams and requested that I do an official presentation of the Book with him, on Tuesday the 4th of January 2022, so that the world will see that Bayelsa is blessed with erudite and scholarly youths capable of securing a healthy future for our coming generations through academic legacies of this magnitude” Lokpobiri said.
When asked about his perception of the personality of the senator, Justice said:
“He is an exceptional leader with an undying passion for the academic growth of the Bayelsan, and youths of the Izon crop. He welcomed and felicitated with me on achieving the feat of writing this Book”.
“His Excellency is indeed a pride to the Ijaw nation, he is an astute and tactically advanced Politician with strategic excellence. This is admirable”, Lokpobiri concluded.
