Tunji-Ojo Engages Nigerians in Canada, Highlights Interior Ministry Reforms

The Minister of Interior, Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has engaged members of the Ondo State community and other Nigerians living in Canada, providing updates on the achievements, ongoing reforms and challenges confronting the Ministry of Interior.

Tunji-Ojo spoke on Thursday, August 13, 2026, during an interactive session with Nigerians in Canada, where he responded to questions from participants on issues relating to the ministry and developments within the country.

The minister used the occasion to highlight efforts by the Ministry of Interior in advancing its responsibilities, while acknowledging some of the challenges that continue to confront the sector.

He also urged Nigerians in the diaspora to remain engaged with developments in the country and support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Tunji-Ojo said the President was making significant efforts to address the country’s challenges and lay the foundation for a better and more prosperous Nigeria.

The interactive session provided an opportunity for Nigerians in Canada to seek clarification on government policies and initiatives while also sharing their concerns and perspectives with the minister.

Tunji-Ojo encouraged Nigerians abroad to continue contributing positively to national development, stressing the importance of collective support for efforts aimed at transforming the country.

He assured the participants that the government remained committed to implementing reforms and addressing challenges within its areas of responsibility.
