The Ugono-Orogun Community Development Union (UDU) has honoured renowned development expert and public policy scholar, Dr. Otive Igbuzor, with an Appreciation Award in recognition of his contributions to the growth and development of the community.
The award, presented on May 29, 2026, acknowledged Dr. Igbuzor’s sustained commitment to community development and his support for initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people of Ugono-Orogun.
Presenting the award, Comr. Endurance Onoriokwa, President General of Ugono-Orogun, described the former civil society leader as a devoted son of the community whose efforts continue to inspire progress and collective advancement.
Responding to the honour, Dr. Igbuzor expressed gratitude to the people of Ugono-Orogun for the recognition, noting that awards received from one’s own community carry deep personal value.
“Award from your own people is always treasured. Thanks to Ugono-Orogun. Much appreciated,” he said.
The recognition adds to a growing list of honours bestowed on Dr. Igbuzor for his contributions to public service, leadership development, and grassroots empowerment across Nigeria.
