In responding to 2 Twitter user’s questions on why he deleted his Tweet About Deborah’s Murder, Atiku Abubakar gave his answers as captured below: 

Being questions put across to Atiku Abubakar by Two Twitter users, Eziafa Amaka’s (@eziafaamaka) and Matthew Tam Atijere (@RealMatiti) who asked;

1. Why Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar deleted his tweet condemning the Murder of Deborah and

2. Why has Atiku Abubakar failed to condemn the killing of Deborah in Sokoto and if he can condemn it right away?

 

The questions were described by the moderator as controversial and quite popular from those who were sending them online, in a Channels Television Live Presidential Town Hall Series, The People’s Town Hall that, featured Atiku Abubakar, Governoer Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP’s Vice Presidential Running mate.

Responding, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar said that he had been asked these questions several times and that all what he said was that he asked the tweet to be deleted because he normally approved every tweet going out on his handle and since he didn’t approve it, He said it should be deleted.

 

On whether he will condemn the killing of Deborah, Atiku Abubakar said if his subsequent statement on that murder was read, you will find that he condemned it as there is nowhere in the Islamic faith where there was an injunction that you can take someone’s life.
