.Leon Edwards knocking Kamaru Usman unconscious with this incredible head kick

Leon Edwards delivered one of the iconic moments in UFC history to flatline Kamaru Usman with a head kick knockout this Sunday morning, August 21, 2022.

‘Rocky’ became the second British champion in the promotion’s history, following in Michael Bisping’s footsteps, and the finish was as picture perfect as it was dramatic.

With just one minute left on the clock and many already writing the obituary of his title shot, Edwards feinted forwards, drew Usman into a lean to his right where he was unceremoniously dispatched with a shin bone across the jaw.

Double loss for Nigeria as Joshua and Kamaru lose fights

The shock defeat of the “Nigerian Nightmare” made it a double loss for Nigeria, coming barely hours after Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk beat Nigerian-born Briton Anthony Joshua with a split points decision to retain his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO world heavyweight boxing belts in Jeddah.

The fight in Saudi Arabia was a rematch of the one in London in September, which Usyk won after a unanimous decision to take the belts from Joshua.
