Theodore Ehannire, accompanied by NHIA Head of Programmes, Mr Seun Adeoye, on Tuesday, was at Ekiadolor for both a courtesy and advocacy visit.

Amongst other discussions was the need for the institution, hitherto owned by the Edo State Government but now owned by the Federal Government, to enroll its staff and students into the NHIA health insurance programmes.

The Modalities and possibility of enrolling the staff and students of the Federal College of Education Ekiadolor were discussed and established.

In his remark, the Rector, Dr. Emmanuel Asagha thanked the State Coordinator for finding time to come to the institution despite his tight schedule and was very encouraged to see the NHIA team.

The Rector stated that before the NHIA Edo State Coordinator’s arrival, plans have been made to ensure the institution keys into the NHIA’s programme, noting that the program is a laudable one and now that NHIA has become mandatory by law, he is ever ready to ensure anything lawful and especially for the benefit of the institution’s staff and students are implemented.
