Mr. Peters Omaruaye Scion of the Omaruaye Family of Gbaregolor Ewu in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, who is also the Delta Central Senatorial District Candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA, has declared that he has all it takes to represent the Senatorial District which is majorly Urhobos in the Senate in Abuja. He as well, reiterated his commitment to distribute projects equitably to all the 8 Local Government Areas that make up the Senatorial District if given the mandate.
The APGA Delta Central Senatorial District Candidate made this declaration when he met and declared his intention before the President Generals of the 24 Kingdoms that make up Urhobo Nation at the Uvwie Town in Effurun, Delta State.
While stating that since the President Generals are the link between the people and the Kings,he added that it will be wrong for him not to consult with them before commencing his Campaign.He told the Urhobo Leaders that he has the capacity not only to make laws that will bring sustainable development in Urhobo, he also stressed that Urhobos will be very proud of him because he is accessible and accommodating to the extent that his doors are always open anytime any day.
Mr. Omaruaye said that he is a successful and experienced business man who will bring his experience to bear while in the National Assembly with the contacts he has made over the years, to the benefit and the interest of Urhobos and Delta Central Senatorial district whose pains and aspirations he knows having spent nearly all his life in Urhobo Land. He assured that he is a tested and reliable Politician who worked and joined in delivering late Distinguished Senator Pius Ewherido in DPP and also as the then Director General in Labour Party in the 2015 Election , and also Director General and later Secretary of the All Progressive Congress APC in the 2019 election he was part and parcel of those who delivered Senator Ovie Omo Agege who is the present Senator representing the Senatorial District
Both Chief Clever Egbedi and Comrade John Enakhireru, Delta Central Senatorial District Chairman of the party expressed confidence in the ability of Mr Omaruaye to give quality representiation to the Urhobos in the National Assembly and asked the 24 President Generals to back him and that he is not going to be selfish nor sectional in his representiation of Urhobos rather he is going to carry all Urhobos along.
Responding on behalf of the Forum of Urhobo President Generals, it’s Spokesman,Chief Hope Erute who is the President General of Uvwie Kingdom expressed delight and said Urhobo as people have a lot of capable and qualified Children.He however disclosed that they are watching all of them who are in the race and they know who is who.He noted that at the appropriate time they are going to come out with a decision that will favour the entire Urhobo People.
