The People’s Democratic Party campaign council in Niger State has rejected plots to move declaration of already compiled results from Niger South Senatorial Zone from Bida, the Headquarters of Niger South, to Minna the State Capital against the provisions of Section 25(2E) of the electoral Act 2022.
A Press Statement signed by Sai Baba, Director communications, PDP campaign council,
Niger State and made available to CROSSFIRE REPORTS said, for the umpteenth time, it was staying clearly that the PDP have collated all results from the 88 wards and 8 local Governments of the Zone, and that it shows the PDP is leading with a clear margin of 3024 votes.
“The People’s Democratic Party campaign council rejects plots to move declaration of already compiled results from Niger South Senatorial Zone from Bida the Headquarters of Niger South, to Minna the State Capital against the provisions of Section 25(2E) of the electoral Act 2022.
“For the umpteenth time, We state clearly that the PDP have collated all results from the 88 wards and 8 local Governments of the Zone, it shows the PDP is leading with a clear margin of 3024.
“The result tally from all units as collated and declared are : PDP scored 100,498, APC scored 97,474.
The statement said the results are intact and any attempt to alter it could only lead to chaos for which the PDP and its campaign council cannot and will not be liable.
The PDP Niger State Campaign Council therefore called on Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the INEC Chaiman and the Inspector General of Police to take notice of the actions of the anti-Democratic Elements bent on subverting the will of the people.
