It was indeed a weekend of the reawakening of the old rivalry between these two Cricket strong holds in Northern Nigeria and the Cricket Club Abuja has never been beaten like this in it’s more than 15 years of existence and rivalry with the Kaduna side.

This brings to mind the fact that there is a lot of work to be done by the Abuja Cricketing community to raise the standard and quality of Cricket to the new normal in Nigerian Cricket, which is high performance and optimal grassroots Cricket development. Without this, Abuja Cricket may just be confined to every Sunday Cricket for the enjoyment and pleasures of Cricket Club Abuja members and friends.

It is believed that with the NCF elections dues in a few months, contenders to the various Zonal slots for membership of the Nigerian Cricket Federation – NCF Board will up their games for their campaign efforts to either return or become new members of the Nigerian Cricket Federation Board on election day.
