The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC),

Itse Sagay has described the February 25 presidential poll as one  which reflects the wishes of Nigerians and the best the country has ever organised.

He said this during a programme on Channels TV on Sunday.

Sagay emphasized that the electoral exercise portrayed the reflection of the feelings of Nigerians compared to previous polls held in the country.

Sagay maintained that the exercise was credible, citing APC’s loss in its Lagos State stronghold, he said  Labour Party (LP) winning Lagos during the election was enough confirmation, he highlighted that the 2011, 2015, and 2019 elections were good but in terms of representing or interpreting what Nigerians feel, the just concluded election is the best election the country ever had.

He further explained that Tinubu had an edge over other candidates because of his ability to organise, plan and plant agencies and supporters and various administrative bodies all over the states in the country, He also argued that the elections were determined by ethnicity, religion, and organisational skills,

Nevertheless, major opposition parties have accused INEC of irregularities and they have filed petitions to challenge the outcome of the election.

The parties also complained about the cases of electoral violence and voter suppression.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu was declared the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
