On Saturday, January 14th, 2023, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) officially launched their presidential campaign in Awka, the capital of Anambra State. The party’s Delta Central Senatorial candidate, Mr. Peters Omaruaye, was presented with the senatorial flag by the national leadership of the party. During the event, Mr. Omaruaye reaffirmed his commitment to rescuing Delta Central from a lack of quality representation.

Mr. Omaruaye told the press that he has been working closely with the people at the grassroots level to develop strategies and implement the party’s manifesto. He emphasized his desire to serve his constituents and assist those in need, in line with teachings from various religions.
He said he believes that holding political office will allow him to have a greater positive impact on the lives of others. He also committed to approaching things differently and working for the benefit of all eight local government areas within the Delta Central Senatorial District, rather than just his own community. In Addition, he intends to use legislation to address issues facing the Senatorial District and Nigeria as a whole.

Mr. Omaruaye also highlighted his qualifications and assets, including education, exposure, and networks, that he believes will help him achieve equal and quality representation for the eight local governments that make up the Senatorial District if elected to the Senate. He also promised to use his resources and experience to bring benefits to the people of Delta Central in terms of project facilitation and sponsoring impactful bills.
The APGA presidential campaign launch in Awka was well attended by party members from across the country, including the party’s governorship candidate for Delta State, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru. Chief Ogboru also received his flag to commence the party’s campaign in Delta State and promised that by February and March, Delta State will be an APGA state.
