Leaders of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, yesterday met for several hours as they intensify discussions and fine-tune decisions ahead of the unveiling of the party’s campaign council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
A statement signed by the Spokesman of the NDC National Leader, Mr. Steve Nwosu said the meeting which held at the Abuja home of the NDC National Leader, Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson CON, had in attendance the NDC presidential flag bearer, Mr. Peter Obi, his Running Mate, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, National Chairman Sen. Moses Cleopas Zuwoghe, the two Deputy National Chairmen as well as several party officials.
The trio of Dickson, Obi and Kwankwaso, whose meetings have become more frequent in the last weeks, had also met for several hours on Monday before yesterday’s expanded meeting.
Yesterday’s meeting was essentially to review some of the finer details of the decisions ahead of the unveiling of the NDC campaign council.
It would be recalled that the party had, last week directed its candidates all over the country to begin their respective campaigns in their various states and constituencies, following the official commencement of campaigns as directed by the timetable of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement posted on his verified social media handles, Sen. Dickson implored all party members and aspirants to remain united and join hands together to ensure the victory of NDC Candidates from top to bottom across the country.
