The University of Port Harcourt (Uniport) Alumni Association, Abuja Chapter’s inaugural Gown to Town Symposium scheduled to hold on the 21st of November, 2022 at the NAF Conference Center, Jahi, Abuja will have former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, who is the Premier Alumnus of the Unique institution as Special Guest of Honour.

Briefing Crossfire Reports on the upcoming event, the Abuja Chapter President of Uniport Alumni Association, Mrs. Phil Okoroafor said there is much to expect from this year’s inaugural symposium. According to her, Emeritus Professor Nimi Briggs has also been confirmed as Chairman of the Ocassion.

She said the theme for the symposium is “Graduate Marketplace Readiness as a tool for Economic Growth”.

The symposium will also feature a keynote presentation by Sir Alex Otti, a panel of accomplished speakers who have distinguished themselves in various economic sectors to discuss the theme and proffer practical solutions.

Mrs Okoroafor said, the expected outcome of the symposium shall be actionable decisions that the Chapter in particular and other chapters of the University of Port Harcourt Alumni Association can
execute towards making the school greater.
